Mystery Foods

How comfortable are you with eating some 'ooey gooey goodness'?

That's what the people who are selling Pizza Hut's Stuffed Crust Pizza say in their current TV ads, their crust is stuffed with 'ooey gooey goodness' - not cheese, or another identifiable ingredient but this mystery product. What is it? And does it really entice you to ingest it? I know I'm not tempted.

It's kind of like the Dairy Queen's commercials that never call it ice cream, and if they do have to mention what their product is made out of, they will say 'ice milk'.

And this isn't the only example, I'm sure now that you're looking for it, you'll have some to add - do tell me please, it's interesting.

Also, do you notice how often commercials are changed? There was one for some Crockpot solutions ( the product was so fast the mum walked in the door and then called dinner immediately). The original had the daughter screaming, but later it was changed to a gasp. Why?

But the one I like recently is the Wendy's commercial where it originally said "if beef was meant to be frozen cows would live in the arctic" to which my first response was "then if that's true, if meat was meant to be cooked cows would live at the equator". But they took my fun away because that line has been edited.

Any commercials you've noticed that's been changed or super vague?

I've heard the same about those McDonalds "100% all beef patties" where that is actually the company name that makes them so they can call them that no matter what's really in them. ew.

and yes! those commercials for pregnancy test kits where they show a "liquid" being splashed on the stick and it used to say "The best piece of equipment you've ever peed on" then they changed it to something completely different and more "safe", but then they changed it back-yay! It was funnier the first way.
And have you seen those new commercials for Monistat where the storm clouds are brewing with thunder & lightening in the woman's affected area? And the same product with the little swear word bubbles popping up when she's getting ready to go for a bike ride? Very funny!! I'm waiting for them to be changed. Or pulled. I hope not tho'!

1) I'm very comfortable eating the ooey, gooey goodness from pizza hut. Have you ever had one of those pizzas? Yum. And I'm very sure it's totally healthy - like full of vitamins and stuff.
2) The commercials that are cracking me up right now are the ones for some life insurance company. There are two of them that show the "top earners" for the life insurance people winning some kind of trip - one in the jungle and one on a boat. The one in the boat is the best. There are shark fins circling and the tour guide tells them they're "friendly dolphins". LOL!
3) I find the Dairy Queen commercials the weirdest. That one with the shrimp eating popcorn, then they realize they're eating popcorn shrimp and then they start screaming for their kids? EW. Cannibalism is NOT funny. Okay, maybe a little. Ew.
