Just hangin'

Since all the presents are done, we're enjoying our free time. I finished another knitted project - but just need to weave in the ends before I can take a photo. I started on this cross stitch for my mom - it's a picture of a black kitty on top of an ironing board,which I'll post when it's completed.

This morning we went out early to buy our Christmas groceries and rents some DVDs and games for the week. It's been fun working on whatever craft project I come across first and it's nice to have free time. This morning I made some bran muffins for brunch and tomorrow I'll do some Christmas baking. Quite the Home Ec session, isn't it?

I'm feeling a bit melancholy about not being with family at Christmas time but I'm reminding myself that not having travel at this time of year and especially with this weather is a good thing. You just gotta take the good with the bad, right?
