Zippity-doo-dah, Zippity-day!

I just managed to snap these two photos before the fog started to roll in again. Yesterday I got to see the sunrise and then the fog took over until late in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, without taking a long walk I couldn't avoid the overhead powerlines - but otherwise I think the sunrise was captured pretty successfully.
Did you have a gorgeous sunrise this morning too?

Nice shots!
I missed sunrise this morning and right now all I see is white fog. I saw yesterday and it was kind of eerie with the fog.

saw it up here, too. It was glorious. Then, also, the fog came in. When it's foggy here and really cold, a very wild and heavy frost forms on everything. Was a ghostly landscape. So, it was foggy in the Fraser Valley, foggy up here in Central BC and in Sooke on Vancouver Island (where my sister lives) it was a beautiful sunny day. I kinda wish I was there.

Hey, I just went on the weather network and discovered that the sun rises 35 minutes earlier for you than it does for me...and sets about 10 minutes later. I know that will change, but it's interesting, huh? When you took those pics it was still dark at my house.

But I think in the summer you get the longer days - I seem to recall being able to play outside in July until around 10ish at night - does that sound right?

That's interesting though - I wonder why 35 & 10 - why isn't it equal at sunrise and sunset?

It's always sunny on the island isn't it?
Ghostly is a great description!

beautiful pix! I did get to catch a couple of sunrises just before the fog rolled in as well. It's crazy how quickly that change happens - like within 5 minutes you have a completely different day!
