Hina Matsuri

Did you know...

... that today is Japanese Girl's Day? During this special festival for young girls in Japan, ornate dolls are dressed up and displayed in homes. Homes are decorated and wishes are made for girls' healthy grown and happiness. The dolls represent the emperor and empress. Also known as Japan Doll Festival (Hina Matsuri).

Sounds like fun - maybe I should take the day off work to celebrate?
