The smells and sights of Christmas

Eco and I went for our daily walk around 4pm - on one particular street the air was full of the smell of roasting turkey, so much that Eco was walking with her nose in the air catching the scent. It smelled so good. We saw people happy in their cars, laughing and wishing all they saw a "Merry Christmas". In fact, most people we saw on the street were happy and wished us a "Merry Christmas" We saw a family sitting in their living room all wearing bobbly headbands while opening their gifts. We saw a family sitting down for dinner, with ma at the head of the table in her red apron. We saw a kid playing an interactive video game waving a controller with a purple light on the end (it looked like a Harry Potter game). We saw people watching a football game and the boys jumping up and down in the living room. We saw people sitting by themselves watching TV. We saw houses with lots of cars in the driveway. We saw houses with no cars and the tree no lit up (most likely not home). We saw houses with steamy windows and a door or window open and lots of activity in the kitchen.

And we smelled pot in the air.

To each his own, I guess.

I hope you had a wonderful Merry Christmas, whatever you ended up doing.

I hope you had a great Christmas! What will you be doing for New Years? I'm making a turkey for New Years Day - we had no left overs (we had Christmas at my Aunt's place) and I really miss them.

Just hanging out with the boys, maybe having a bunch of appies for dinner. Not sure yet, but definitely something special. Maybe more turkey as well.
