Eco was at the vet today so they could remove her bandage and check her stitches. It all looked pretty good so no new bandages went on, instead she'll wear a bootie until next Wednesday when the stitches come out. Every time this dog wants out for a break, I have to bag and tape it because it's a wee bit rainy this time of year in the Vancouver area.
I think I'll as happy as she will be when her stitches come out, because right now I'm basically spending most of my time keeping an eye on her so she doesn't lick that foot. I only use the big cone when I have to - poor dog, I really don't like putting it on her. They always look so sad with it on, don't they? First she's kept indoors all day, and not allowed to run and then she gets a giant cone on her head; there's only so much sleeping a young dog can do. And starting tomorrow she'll be off her pain medication so she probably won't be as sleepy and she'll start to feel how much her foot hurts. I guess I'll just have to curl up in front of the fire place and snuggle with her, right?

Hopefully the canine haling is accelerating.
So glad she's doing okay :)
