I'm in a bit of a daze today. My mum was rushed to the hospital last night and is in the ICU. She lives by herself so I'm glad she was able to call 911. My brother has been super - he's looked after her doggie (the cute schnauzer I've posted about), cleaned up her house, and cancelled her appointments, plus kept me posted as she lives in another province. He runs his own business so taking time out to do all this can cost him money and delay his projects - so I'm really grateful for all that he's doing. Thanks bro. His wife is a doctor and she's also taken the time to check on my mum while doing rounds, etc. Thanks sis. It's so nice that they are there to look after things and let me know, otherwise, I'd probably be on a plane right now rushing out there.

I'm sure she's sad about being in the hospital, plus being in the hospital over Easter.

Our trip to Texas is only 16 days away, and I don't think my mum will be able to fly. We were supposed to go together, but it's 'up in the air' at the moment. Get well soon mum.

I finished a stole, which I knitted with Bernat Boa. The pattern called for 3 balls, which is what I bought. I didn't have the needles they recommended so I used a larger size. I was so afraid I'd run out. But I used precisely 2 balls. So now I have an extra one - which is odd, considering I used much larger needles - I could have skipped that second ball. However, I'm not too grumpy as the good news is that I got all the Boa yarn on sale for 97 cents a ball, so I guess I can't complain - plus I love the colour a lot! It looks better than this, but here's a sample - it's called Mallard:

This is a picture from the Bernat website:

Have a good Easter long weekend.

I hope your Mom is better soon. I'll send good vibes. The stole is pretty. I bought a bunch of that mallard boa yarn, too. And some of the blue.

Thanks for the well wishes, much appreciated.
Isn't that mallard a beautiful colour? I don't think I'll be able to give it away.
