I'm not kidding... it's snowing

This is not an April Fool's joke.... I woke up this morning to snow! In Vancouver? In April? What about that perfect daffodil I took a picture of yesterday? And all the other pretty flowers in the garden - the magnolia, the grape hyacinth, the hyancinth and the primula? All under snow.

And yesterday's daffodil, now looks like this:
Today JP has to drive an hour to the kid's school as he's helping with a field trip to ScienceWorld. aiyee. I hope the weather and traffic improve by then or that will not be a fun bus ride! He called me after he'd been on the road for a bit and asked me if he left a brown bad in a fridge drawer. He did. And I felt bad for him for leaving some of his lunch - then he told me it was my lunch! How sweet!
Top view of the flower arrangement he brought home for me on Friday night because he knew I had a tough day:

Your little chickie is adorable and very Easter-like. Very clever how you figured out his shape and the colour is great too! I don't think it needs feet. Just setting it on a branch or a plant makes him look right at home.

Thanks! I think I will leave it as is

Poor daffodil! Might be OK if he didn't freeze. I'm curious to see if one of my lilac bushes survived winter. Last fall it thought it was spring and put out some new growth then whamm-o!
JP is very sweet to be so sensitive to you having a bad day. Men like that are rare. Beautiful flowers!

Actually the daffodil is looking not so bad. I should have brought it in the house before the snow.
Yes, he's a good boy. I'm very lucky. And the flowers are still beautiful a week later - that's a good supplier!
