"Don't Panic" (HHGTTG)

I finished one fingerless glove yesterday. I probably could have done more - if I took my contacts out. For some reason the yarn was making my eyes itch, it's a bit fuzzy but it's only acrylic. Anyway Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was on TV last night and I wanted to watch it - even though it was on a channel with commercials. Sadly, I only got about an hour into it, when I fell asleep. Dang! I guess I'll just have to rent it - it's such a good movie.

Here's one fingerless glove from One Skein Wonders:

Did you know it's hard taking pictures of your own arm? I just couldn't get a decent pictures, so this is it....

Yesterday, I had the phone repair company here to fix a fuzzy line which was preventing me from receiving faxes (yes, people still send faxes!). Unfortunately for the repair man, he was up the pole in his cherry picker when the heavy, heavy rain started, then hail and then thunder! I hope he was able to get into his truck and hide out for a bit - I couldn't see him because there are several trees in the way. I offered him a towel and a coffee but he said he was fine. Poor man, he was so cheeful about it all. Bad news was that he could not fix the line and put an order in for the cabling guys to come out to fix them today. It looks like they might not have the weather that this guy worked in! Yikes! That hail hit pretty hard!

Yup, we've got a fax machine too. Most people here don't have internet so use the fax like email. Kinda weird.
We watched Hitchhiker last night, too.
Love the glove. I'd like to find a pattern for one with the individual finger holes.

Hey, thanks for the links. Very thoughtful of you. I'm getting ready to post some of my project(s) progress on my blog. I feel like I'm slow compared to you.

I love both those patterns. Thanks! My husband will really like the one with the flap. He's lost a couple of pairs already, so needs more. Around here they come in handy. I'm not as good a knitter as you, but I want to try it anyways.

Don't say that - you're a great knitter Jo! Glad you liked the patterns. Art is lucky that you can make these things for him.
Yes, do show us your projects - did you finish the curtain and the tie-backs?
