Wowza, I can't believe it's the first of October. I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that summer is over. Although yesterday's rain did a pretty good job of convincing me that it was going to be like this for the next 6 months - cold and rainy and damp!
Yesterday morning I watched some TV, did some knitting and then we went to downtown Vancouver to Chapters and then to Gotham for dinner where we had a lovely dinner courtesy of my employer (which was a wedding gift). Yup, it's almost our 3 month anniversary and we just managed to get out for dinner now - does that say anything? Well we've been out for dinner in the past 3 months, but just not as nice a place as this one. We ate pretty well and had a good mellow ride home, the rain even held off for part of our trip.
But now it's Monday and back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Maybe it's just me, but what the heck happened to September? I've never seen a month go by so fast. Could be because it was the nicest weather we've had all summer in this area.
Exactly! Something happened. Maybe that's why I had such a hard time accepting that it's October already. And suddenly we're into the rainy crappy weather. yech.
Jo - you signed up for Ravelry long before me - are you in? Where are you so I can add you to "My friends"?
I had completely forgotten about Ravelry. Had to search through your blog to find your post back in May. So I asked them and they said they had invited me in June. I guess my spam filter ate it. Just joined...my username is joblom. It looks very interesting. I could spend hours there, but have to get some stuff done around here. I did see a shawl collared vest that is comination crocheted and knitted. I LOVE it! Definitely on my to-do list. They also have the "mens rugged vest" which is what my blog's Aug.18 post ( http://joblom.blogspot.com/2007/08/my-latest-project.html ) is about. I figure the recipient will never look here, so the secret's safe. I'm actually making another one at the same time in a different colour for someone else. So many project started....nothing finished.
cool. I will be sure to look you up. Yes, it definitely can eat up alot of time - but it's fun and useful none the less, no?
Now you can keep track of all the projects you want to do and all the ones you've started.
That vest is lovely. Can't wait to see your finished pictures.
