To all my knitting friends - by now I'm sure you've seen the Winter edition of Knitty, but did you know the Winter collections were out for Twist Collective and Popknit? "Check it, check it, check it out"(Fogell/McLovin' in Superbad). And also The Inside Loop - which has very nice patterns and a good article on photographing your knit projects.
Twist has some gorgeous sweater patterns - I've very tempted to start one or two or 10 (but I must finish my cross stitch first). They also have beautiful photographs and showcase some items "worn" by watercoloured animals which is a very nice presentation.
This morning we woke up to a light blanket of snow which is very beautiful but I just hope that the snow doesn't cripple the city like it did at Christmas time. But snow means lots of knitting/crafting time and that's all right by me.
And can you believe that February starts on Sunday? Where did this month go?

we got a couple of inches of fresh snow overnight, too.
Thank you for posting these links. In the Twist one, I see a pattern by Jennifer Appleby. Up until this past fall, she was my neighbour. I met her a few times and went to her shop, which she had in her home. Just as I was getting to know her, she up and moved (with hubby and kids) to Nova Scotia. I was sad to see her go, but she's got her shop back online now. I didn't realize she is so "published".
Hi Jo-anne - well that's really interesting. Maybe you can still connect with her on line.
I will have to look her up.
I do stay connected with her online. Some friends were even trying to help her find a place to live when she first moved to Nova Scotia. Her website is www.thewoollenearth.com and she sends a newsletter out every now and then. It was nice to have a wool shop nearby (back in the bush near Fort Fraser) so I didn't have to shop online all the time or wait til I was in the city. I asked her to check my blog when she gets homesick.
Oh that's good that you still stay in touch. Too bad you lost your local shop - boo..... I'll check her out, thanks.
I bet she misses you and likes to read your blog.
