Where's your Spark?

I was searching for an upcoming birthday present and decided I wanted to buy a piece of jewellry. I really try to support independant artists or companies so I tried looking on Etsy, however many of the pieces I found were too young for the person I was buying for. I tried searching by higher dollars - but there are pieces with price tags of $50,000. I have no idea why they're on Etsy for that price unless the seller just plugs in a price for one-of-a-kind items and has no intention on selling them. Anyone know the answer? Commissioned items maybe?

I decided to go to Spark which is in Vancouver and I sort-of "know" the designer, Megan, who told me she could customize a piece for me. So that's what I did. I must say, she was very speedy with her communications and creating the piece and shipping it. I am very happy with the whole experience and wanted to share with you. I'm sure the birthday girl will like it too.
And since the Halloween "season" is fast approaching, this may be a great time to pick up some of her skully items, such as these Baroque Skull bobby pins or even this Burning Heart cameo. And when you do - don't forget to tell us about it.

Oooh I love the Spark pieces! I have a pink skully cameo necklace I got at a shop on Main street a couple of years ago, love it!
