A Finished Object -sweater cape

This used to be a blog about all my projects, but it's been a long while since I've had anything to show, so finally here is a project I've been working on off and on since August. Just in time for the cold season, this sweater cape has just arrived at me mum's in cold southern Alberta. Another project completed. Time to work on some Christmas presents.

This is made from alpaca yarn. The colour is actually more of a washed denim, both images have the wrong colours. And it is surprisingly warm, I had no idea alpaca was that nice. I think I will have to do something for myself! As my mum says, "who needs a Snuggie when you have this?" That's a good testimonial isn't it?

You know what I have been doing instead of knitting or crochet? Teaching Eco tricks. Last week she learned "peek-a-boo" and this week she is learning to "say her prayers". What fun! She just loves to be asked to do tricks - mainly because labs love food!

I am the lucky recipient of the cape with cuffs. This is the cosiest thing to do almost anything. No need for a coat if you suddenly have to go outside and so warm inside. I never knew Alpaca wool was that warm and soft.
Great knitting job! No flaw anywhere. Really love it.
