Hurry up - there is work to do

Today it is a beautiful, gorgeous spring day. It is the perfect day to get out and garden and many people already have. During our morning walk there were many people cutting and raking and pulling weeds etc. But I woke up tired and achy and with a little bit of a headache. And I don't feel like gardening at all. Not one bit.

So presently I am finding other things to do, but I know that I will just have to get out there and start. Start something. That usually does the trick. I am old enough to know that if I just get out there and start something I end up starting many things and next thing I know 5 hours will have flown by and it'll be time for dinner.

Do you have that? Where your mood doesn't match with the weather or your chores? Usually for me it is the other way around - I try and fool myself and say "gee, I totally would have painted the house if it wasn't raining today" or "aww, too bad it's raining, I would have mowed the lawn" or "I would have baked cookies if we had eggs".

Okay, time to be an adult and get work done. I know. I know.

As Robert Frost once said,

"The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep."

Thanks for sharing that poem, I've always liked Robert Frost. Thankfully it wasn't a Snowy Evening for me!
