Mad Men in Review

Wasn't Mad Men terrific again last night? Don was ripe as always. But the Glen-Sally thing is a bit scary, what are they leading to - I sure hope he's not going to rape her or something, they certainly have portrayed him as a very odd kid. And Joan was gorgeous as always - loved her at the Christmas party in her 'red dress with the bow on the back - makes [her] look like a Christmas present' - to partially quote Roger Sterling. I loved how she was such a good sport, leading the conga line and swaying her terrific hips.

Poor Freddy Rumsen is going to have a struggle with sobriety in that business, that's for sure, especially after one of his comrades falls after a lunch with Roger. It's interesting that they brought Freddy back, but I still wish Sal would return.

How far do you think Don will get with his nurse neighbour? His poor secretary got the message loud and clear the next morning that's for sure, poor girl - and possibly typed up a resignation letter right then and there.

And don't forget to read Slate Magazine's review of the episode as well.

I didn't enjoy this version of Don Draper at all. He's way cooler than this. Thank goodness this week's Don Draper is more like I'm used to - cool and drunk. Not pathetic and drunk.
