Marie is Finished!

Today I finally finished my Marie Antoinette. I pretty much worked on her all afternoon - except for some breaks to play with Eco and some phone calls.

Here's a quick snap from my phone, I'll get you a better one soon:

I wasn't that happy with her at first, but realized once I took a step back and looked at her, I liked her even more. Once I saw her in the photo, I was happier still. I hope you can see this link - here's what she's supposed to look like. All pieces are knitted (including all the curls) with some embroidery for her face. She has a crocheted flower on her dress and a ribbon choker.

Tomorrow she will go out in the garden where we'll take better photos.

That's a riot! Love it! I've been knitting since I was a kid but am taking the opportunity during this long holiday weekend to learn how to crochet. There's a blog I follow on Facebook and the woman crochets celebrity and pop culture lookalike dolls and I want to make her Dr. King Schultz doll from Django Unchained.
