Why Complicate Life?

I'm keeping it simple today, so I'm just going to post this photo for now. 

Karma

As I was leaving the dog park the other day, I stopped to talk to a lady who was wrangling a 130 pound black lab (which is no small feat as I'm sure she may have weighed about the same or less). In our conversation she told me her dog's name was Karma. A big black dog called Karma - interesting.

It's probably bad Karma, but I can see where you could have some fun with it:
-"you can't escape Karma..."
- "Karma is our teacher..."
- "Instant Karma's gonna get you, gonna knock you off your feet" John Lennon
- "Karma is not something you can control, something you can turn off and on." Kevin Chappell

                    and something about Karma "biting you in the ass"

I just hope it wasn't bad Karma for her to name her dog after Karma - hmm?

The Good News

Eco had her toe surgery today. The good news - the toe was not removed. Once the vet got inside she found it wasn't as bad as she thought and so she removed the lump and some old scar tissue and closed her all up! Yippee! I'm very, very happy about this.

I tried really hard to follow the buddhist/yogic advice to not worry but couldn't help myself. I knew that there was nothing I could do but to follow the events as they played out, but still had all sorts of worry, doubt and guilt running through my mind. Now it's been pointed out to me that the worry was for nothing. Just like I had been told.

This is not to say that it won't return and we could have to go through this all again one day, facing toe removal again, but for now I am happy with the results!

In an hour and a half she'll be awake enough for me to pick her up and bring my sweet little darling home. I am so very grateful to everyone who provided such wonderful support to me. Thank you.

Did you know... that today is Japanese Flower Festival (Hanamatsuri) Day?This Japanese festival celebrates the birth of Siddhartha Gautama. "Hana" means "flower" in Japanese, and "matsuri" means "festival," so Hanamatsuri means "flower festival."
