The Lost Keys

It's Joke Time again!

After a meeting several days ago, I couldn't find my keys. I quickly gave myself a personal "TSA Pat Down."

They weren't in my pockets. Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically,I headed for the parking lot. My husband has scolded me many times for leaving my keys in the car's ignition.

He's afraid that the car could be stolen. As I looked around the parking lot, I realized he was right.

The parking lot was empty. I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.

Then I made the most difficult call of all to my husband: "I left my keys in the car and it's been stolen."

There was a moment of silence. I thought the call had been disconnected, but then I heard his voice. "Are you kidding me? "he barked, "I dropped you off!"

Now it was my turn to be silent.Embarrassed, I said, "Well, come and get me."

He retorted, "I will, as soon as I convince this cop that I didn't steal your car!"

My saturday

So yesterday I'm feeling all smug at what I accomplished so I say to JP, "Today I painted the front and back door, gardened and did laundry. What did you do?"
(thinking I'd put him in his place, and feeling quiet superior -big EGO!)

And he replied "Fed the machine the did all that"
(he did make me breakfast, lunch and dinner yesterday)

Well. Not exactly the answer I was looking for. But definitely a correct one that's for sure.

PSA - How to Give CPR

This should help anyone remember how to do CPR:

Oh my gawd, this absolutely cracks me up!!!

Eco and I were out for our daily walk when suddenly I'm aware of a clicking sound - like when the tip of your high heel has come off and you're walking on the nail. I looked down at Eco but she was just trotting along, not limping or favouring a foot - but still the clicking persisted, so I stopped her and like a ferrier I picked up her right back leg - all looked fine, then I picked up her left back leg and saw that the pad was shiny, what?  - and  when I touched it off popped a hazelnut shell!

Eco had somehow managed to perfectly step on the shell and the shell had somehow managed to perfectly fit on her pad and so she carried on, happily out for her daily walk.

I had flicked the shell to the ground, but after two steps I decided to return to pick it up and take a better look at it. And to take a better look at how it perfectly fit on her foot pad. And I chucked to myself for a little while at the silly coincidence. Have you ever had something like that? 

Scary Short Hair

It's cute and funny, but I think it's time the bottom photo needs to be updated, because when I get up in the morning, my short hair looks more like Barnbus Collins from Dark Shadows:
