Dear lady friends,
Tell me - what is the point of a stagette?
Isn't it for 'one last fling at freedom'? For the girls who feel their whole world will be changed (which is what they secretly want, isn't it?) and think that they can't go out and they can't see their friends after they're married and therefore a party is required.
Most stagettes that I've been to or hear about involve party games, costumes, strippers (sometimes) and bar crawls. Some involve trips to Vegas, etc.
To me it seems like another reason to party when you're getting married in your twenties. But what about when you are in your 30's or it's your second wedding, or both?
You see JPs sister is getting married and I just received an email invite to dinner at Milestones and then to watch the Sex and The City movie. Doesn't this sound more like a 'shower'?
Oh the whole wedding thing confuses me.
Sometimes I think I'm from another planet, I just don't get it.
Do you feel like enlightening me?

I think a stagette is just another name for a shower. And you can be raunchier at a shower if you like. That's just my guess. I did go to a stagette once, and it was just a lady's night event with lots of sweaty muscley men. No fancy sandwiches at that stagette. And luckily, no stupid party games, only, slip the money in the g-string game. Woot!
Hi Carol - thanks for making me laugh. I hope it's instead of the shower, that would be great. Thanks for the explanation. Yes, I'm so glad there aren't any party games.

Yes.
You don't get it.

Thanks "It's All Relative" - I understand your answer, we must be from the same planet.
