A friend of mine recently moved houses and then left two days later for a trip with her daughter. The night she returned, she was driving past her house at 1:30 in the morning on her way home and was talking to her boyfriend when she noticed the light was on in her bedroom and she began to panic because she hadn't left the light on before she left. No one had keys to the house (or so she thought). When she got home, she found her boyfriend had set up her whole bedroom - which included painting, buying and hanging the curtains, buying her a duvet cover, buying and hanging art work and setting up her TV. She had no idea this was being done. They had not talked about it at all. He chose everything, the colour scheme the furniture etc.
What do you think of this? Wouldn't you like to be part of the process? Or would you like to come home to fully decorated bedroom that someone else chose for you?
BTW, she's thrilled, so it worked out well. I just think it's a very risky undertaking.

I would be disquieted I guess. I would appreciate the gesture but would have to hide my unhappiness for hramony sake
Oh yes, you are a lot like me. Agreed.
If it were somebody like my mom, I say go ahead. She can't make a decision to save her life and just wants it DONE.
If it were somebody like *me,* I'd say back off. I'm too picky, and there is no way that my hubby could read my mind to know what I would like :)
