Scrap or Keep?

I used a self patterning yarn to make a set of baby legwarmers. Unfortunately if you don't start the pieces in the exact same spot you don't get good results. In this case I find the two pieces don't match at all and I assume that people are so used to 'perfect' manufactured items these days that they expect things to match. Do you agree? 

So, here's the question - should I scrap these leg warmer and make something else?
