This is BC's second year to have the 2nd Monday in February off for Family Day. However, here is seems to just be a day off. In other parts of the country - who have their Family Day - 1 week later, they seem to make more of an effort to get together with family and have group dinners.
This is an unofficial survey, and it could possibly have more to do with my family that the who province's reaction to a new holiday.
I tried to get family together but my suggestion was just laughed at. So I finished some projects, made yummy eggy breakfasts and baked cupcakes. Now I'll walk the dog in the rain, then give her a bath, give myself a wash and go to dance. Happy Family Day !
